Design Notes
Collaborating with a client with a clear vision results in developing a design that can capture every aspect of the dream for their home. Our client had secured permission to extend the ground floor by six metres which resulted in an expansive ground floor. He also had a clear perspective of what he wanted to accommodate in the extra space and we were able to interpret his needs successfully into the space planning and layout. The space had to include a dining area to accommodate a party of eight, a bar, a fireplace and a snug TV cum living area. The placement of a bright colourful artwork that had been specially commissioned to an artist in India was also a crucial part of the design.
It was interesting to design a home that incorporates functionality and the needs of the client. Detailed 2D and 3D drawings were presented to the client that also included the lighting plan. Designing the bar proved to be a new, exciting experience. We installed Home automation and lighting controlled by Loxone. It was a pleasure to work closely with the client to come up with a well-designed home that exudes beauty and functionality.
