What began as a focused colour scheme and lighting consultation gradually evolved into something far more expansive: a complete interior design transformation of the entire ground floor. This is a project that perfectly captures how great design unfolds — one decision leading naturally to the next, each one building towards something greater than the sum of its parts.

The brief expanded to include the layout and design of the full open-plan ground floor — door placements, wall openings for better traffic flow, tile and flooring selections, and kitchen island repositioning for improved efficiency. Throughout it all, Ramya navigated a lively, engaged household: a family with teenage twins, each with strong opinions and individual tastes, all of whom were actively involved in every decision.

The project’s standout feature was the small guest cloakroom — a tiny space that became a bold design statement. After careful persuasion, hexagonal printed tiles were paired with deep navy blue walls inspired by the tile design itself. The result was striking, unexpected, and utterly loved by the clients.
